On Thursday, April 24, the Southern Regional Health Authority in collaboration with the Pesticide Control Authority, conducted training for vector control workers and public health inspectors from St. Elizabeth, Manchester, and Clarendon. Held at the Ridgemount United Church, Manchester, the session also included supervisory staff, focusing on pesticide management and entomological surveillance. This initiative strengthens our preparedness for the rainy season and potential mosquito-borne outbreaks, including yellow fever, by building capacity and ensuring the safety of our teams.
